Principal's Message
Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) has an excellent track record of placing the young graduates to Industries, Research and Development Labs besides Higher Education within and outside the country. It has a strong alumni base of over 30000 and has earned distinction of being an institution par excellence during its journey spread across over 5 decades.
SJCE would want to remain as a global leader in the technical education space by adapting to the changes at national and global level. This is realized through the implementation of the Outcome Based Education (OBE) using modern teaching learning processes such as practical based learning, project based learning and use of national resources such as NPTEL and SWAYAM portals. SJCE opened up its doors for the alumni to contribute their knowledge in identifying critical thrust areas and also help in capacity building of our faculty. The faculty members have been on a constant improvement to improve their knowledge to become a globally competitive faculty. The Institution is funded by TEQIP Phase-III which provides many possibilities for empowering students and faculty besides the improving the infrastructure. It gives me immense pleasure to state that SJCE is the only Institution in the State of Karnataka which has been awarded highest number of approvals under MHRD’s Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) programme. SJCE has so far conducted 16 programmes. The Technical Education in 21st Century needs full term cooperation with the industry and hence industry linked programmes will create more stability. SJCE has been establishing programmes based on the requirements of the industry. Research is an integral part of every faculty and adequate financial support is available to enhance the quality and quantum of research in our institution. Having been elevated to the university level, SJCE is well poised towards realizing its Vision and Mission through structured implementation of OBE.
